“Mirror Mirror, That Is Us All” by Pheonyx Roldan Smith

I recently found myself reflecting upon some old writings and outside articles from the early days circa 2010 and 2011 that have some current resonance with so much that is still taking place in the area of human conscious evolution right now in the world.  I currently find myself also reviewing the events of my own life and personal growth/evolution over the past few years (Mercury retrograde work indeed), just to make sure I AM still solidly “walking the talk” equally as well as “talking my walk” these days. I believe that I AM, yes, despite it having been brought to question from a couple of outside sources over the past few months. So far, so good, and what I have come to Know about my path is that I tend to be the one who scrutinizes its authenticity long before anyone outside would ever bring it to question to make sure it IS true that I AM living up to my own word/s.

I said to a friend earlier today, we see (and hear) things not as they are, but as we are. That’s a well-known and easily understood concept but one that gets forgotten a lot as people are processing old stories of pain, suffering and issues of abandonment.  We all go through it.  But HOW we go through it is what truly defines our experience and how we walk the path. Have we learned the lesson, or are we still learning?  In theory, once learning is complete there comes application time, a.k.a. the practice of LIVING what we have learned with clear understanding and conviction of our thoughts, words and actions in Life.  But not just “do” the work, but actually BECOME that change we most desire to see in the world. Most people simply aren’t there yet. There’s still a lot of doing, and a lot of judging of how well or how authentically other people are “doing it”.  Let it go.  Live your words and allow the others to live theirs.  You don’t like it?  Then don’t do it.  Simple as that.  Many paths up this mountain.  Find your own and walk it like no other.

If you can see me, then I AM a mirror.
If you can’t see me, then I AM the reflection.

Again, how others perceive those thoughts, words and actions are completely up to them. We can’t control how they see us through their own filters, but only hope and pray that eventually the need for filters dissolves, and to be fully aware of how we sometimes happen to look out on the world with our own rose-colored or dark-shaded filters from time to time. Actually, it’s time to take off all the glasses and learn to sharpen our own vision for what is the Truth, knowing that “the Truth” will always have many sides by which to be perceived, and We have to be willing to look and consider ALL sides of it. And we have to be willing to take off any blinders and take a good look back at ourselves from time to time. It’s too easy to get lost in even the spiritual ego if you are not careful. Pay careful attention, AND be willing to fully listen… at all cost. And by that action, we must also be willing to take our own accounts into review in order to balance the internal books between “right” versus “wrong” so that we can better, more willingly, more acceptingly, and more lovingly work with what IS.

Just some thoughts Why? Because WE ARE absolutely worth it. With a Love that truly ignites and transforms from a place deep within,  Pheonyx

RE: “Accepting Our Calling: Worthiness” via the DailyOM.com (originally posted March, 2011 on the OCG facebook community page)

196061_10150180740559809_6009072_nWhen we accept our divinity we no longer question whether we are worthy because we know that we here for a purpose. The issue of worthiness may come up in many areas of our lives, as we ask, often unconsciously, whether we are worthy of success, love, happiness, and countless other things, from supportive relationships to a beautiful home. In the end, though, it all comes down to one thing: our willingness to claim our space in this life as humans on this planet at this time. When we accept our divinity, we no longer question whether we are worthy, because we know that we are meant to be here to fulfill a particular purpose, a purpose that no one other than us can fulfill.

There are no replacements who can take over and live our lives for us, no other person who has had the experiences we have had, who has access to the same resources and relationships, who carries the same message to share with the world. Our purpose may be large or small, and in most cases it is multi-leveled, with important actions taking place on the interpersonal level, as well as in terms of the work we do in the world. Small acts of kindness share the stage with large acts of sacrifice, and only through accepting and honoring our divinity can we know what we are called to do and when.

Ultimately, we are all equally, exactly, completely worthy of being here in this life. Moreover, we are all essential to the unfolding plan of which we are each one small, but important, part. If we suffer from low self worth, it is because we have lost track of understanding this truth, and allowing it to guide our actions in the world. Seeing ourselves as part of something larger, as beings called to serve, is the ultimate cure for feelings of unworthiness. In the end, it’s not about evaluating ourselves as worthy or unworthy, so much as it’s about accepting that we have been called here to serve and taking the steps required to listen and respond to what our lives are asking us to do.
